Who We Are

Ground Level Solutions, Inc. is a not-for-profit energy service/community based company, incorporated in 1984 in Franklin County, Ohio, as the Ohio Weatherization Training Institute, Inc. In 2000, we changed our name to Ground Level Solutions, Inc. to reflect our emphasis on practical, household-by-household solutions to energy conservation, energy efficiency and health & safety needs.

Since 1988, Ground Level Solutions has been involved in the inspection, weatherization and quality assurance monitoring of more than 20,000 homes in Ohio through our involvement with the programs such as NiSource/Columbia Gas of Ohio WarmChoice Program, the Ohio Edison Weatherization Pilot, the FirstEnergy Corporation Community Connections Program and the Ohio Electric Partnership Program. In 2003, Ground Level Solutions began providing energy conservation and health and safety services to more than 2,000 households in Franklin, Richland and Morrow Counties through the operation of the Ohio Department of Development, Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP).

Currently, Ground Level Solutions administers several programs including the Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP), Columbia Gas of Ohio WarmChoice Program, Ohio Electric Partnership Program (EPP) and the American Electric Power Community Assistance Program (CAP). These services have saved an average of up to 30% of household energy consumption. Additionally, Ground Level Solution's performance of measures designed to correct health and safety issues in participants' homes has enhanced the quality of life for countless Ohioans.
